JCIA holds Business Study Workshops in order to provide the executives and the employees of the member societies with useful information, so that they would have a better understanding of business circumstances.

The seventh business study workshop for fiscal 2016 was held as follows;

-Theme: The Latest Information on Cooperative Insurance in the World and ICMIF Activities
-Lecturer: Hilde Vernaillen, CEO, Chair of the Board, P&V
Shaun Tarbuck, CEO, ICMIF

In the lecture, Ms. Vernaillen and Mr. Tarbuck explained the business trends of cooperative and mutual insurance sector in the world, and ICMIF's activities such as PR or influencing through participating in the working group of IAIS or International Development Forum (IDF).
Also, they explained the outline of "The ICMIF 5-5-5 Mutual Microinsurance Strategy" in which cooperative and mutual insurers aim to promote micro-insurance in the developing countries.
