JCIA holds Business Study Workshops in order to provide the executives and the employees of the member societies with useful information, so that they would have a better understanding of business circumstances.

The second business study workshop for fiscal 2016 was held as follows;

-Theme: Trend in International Financial Regulations and Insurance Capital Requirements
-Lecturer: Yoshihiro Kawai, Secretary General, IAIS (International Association of Insurance Supervisors)

Mr. Kawai gave a lecture on the international insurance capital regulations. He explained the background, history of international financial regulations. He suggested that once the Insurance Capital Standards are set up, they will influence the domestic rules secondly. Furthermore, he mentioned current topics as "Fin Tech"
