Japan Cooperative Insurance Association Incorporated holds business study workshops with the aim of contributing to facilitation of the cooperative insurance business by helping executives and regular employees of the member societies understand the latest domestic and international issues, in which the member societies are highly interested and which are likely to have an impact on their cooperative insurance operations.
The second business study workshop for fiscal 2012 was held as follows,

- Theme: Latest Developments of International Insurance Supervision
- Lecturer: Yoshihiro Kawai, Secretary General, IAIS (International Association of Insurance Supervisors)

Mr. Kawai gave a lecture on the theme of "Stability of Financial System and Insurance" at the business study workshop held last year where G-SIFIs (Global Systematically Important Financial Institutions), ICP (Insurance Core Principles) and ComFrame (Common Framework for the Supervision of Internationally Active Insurance Groups) were highlighted.
This year’s lecture was on the latest developments of the measures taken by the IAIS following the lecture of last year.
As many as 50 persons participated in the workshop from a wide range of departments of the member societies.
